Getting Started =============== This guide will help you get started with the Sidechain plugin, from installation to your first recording. Installation ------------ The Sidechain plugin is available in VST3 and AU (macOS) formats. Install the plugin to your system's standard plugin directory: **macOS:** - VST3: ``/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/`` (system-wide) or ``~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/`` (user) - AU: ``/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/`` (system-wide) or ``~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/`` (user) **Windows:** - VST3: ``C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\`` **Linux:** - VST3: ``/usr/lib/vst3/`` or ``~/.vst3/`` Loading the Plugin ------------------ 1. Open your DAW (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, etc.) 2. Scan for new plugins (or restart your DAW) 3. Add Sidechain to a track as an effect plugin 4.
